Blackland cooks, ferments, distills, and fills your barrel at the Fort Worth distillery.

Gin & Vodka
Workshop

Two hours with our master distiller. Learn extraction, maceration, and distillation, then design your own gin or flavored vodka from scratch. Distilled on-site within 2–3 weeks. Four to six bottles to take home.

Custom Barrel FAQ

Is this a barrel pick?

No. You create a custom mash bill. Blackland then cooks, ferments, distills, barrels, ages, labels, and bottles that original whiskey.

How long does the custom whiskey take?

Your whiskey matures in Blackland's barrel room for up to three years. Tasting visits are available by request so you can follow its development.

Can I taste my whiskey while it ages?

Yes. Barrel owners may request tasting visits to follow the whiskey's development in Blackland's barrel room.

How many bottles are included?

The completed program includes a custom label, up to 25 bottles, your barrel, and a private tasting event.

How many guests can participate?

The workshop accommodates 1–20 guests. Individuals, private groups, corporate teams, and milestone groups are welcome; ask about larger groups.

When are workshops available?

Workshops are scheduled by inquiry, with weekday appointments generally available between 10 am and 2 pm.
